Titled: Characteristic Snow. A Yellowstone Absaroka Range “Silvertip” juvenile grizzly sow, we call Snow. In this image, Snow being just a month or so shy of entering her first winters den alone, without her mom. Natural spring separation occurred 5 months earlier. All at the tender age of approximately three and half years old. The following spring she emerged successfully, entering into sub-adulthood.
